As a result of substantial investment in Wind Generation infrastructure in New Zealand and Australia, ETEL Transformers Ltd and Electropar Ltd embarked on a project to design, test and manufacture a Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Kiosk.

Backing the development initiative, in June 2008 the Company’s have received a contract for the manufacture and delivery of 63 units of the new WTG Kiosk to the West Wind windfarm project in Makara, New Zealand. Contracted to Siemens Ltd who will supply the wind turbines and install the WTG kiosks at site for Meridian Energy, the contract is one of the largest won by either ETEL or Electropar and is a significant milestone for both organisations.
